Important note

This is powerful stuff. It is the essence of amber. It is the strong potion used for centuries in the Baltics for cures and used today by alternative medicine practitioners.

It is the distilled oil from amber.  Amber is a fossil. The oil is a heavy, strong, evil smelling, dark colored concentration of the healing agents contained in Baltic amber.  It is a fossil distillate, just as petrol is a fossil distillate. And it smells like a fossil distillate.

It is for the serious use of amber's curing powers and not to be confused with or used for aromatic purposes.

If you want something that smells nice, buy something else.  If you want something with curing power, buy this.

Description

One of the most valued derivatives of pure, natural Baltic amber, amber oil is a prized possession of those who know where they can find it and how to use it. Actually, it is liquid amber.

Amber oil is produced from natural Baltic amber, which amber, among all the ambers of the world, has the highest concentration of succinic acid. It is the succinic acid that imparts the "magical powers" to amber.

Amber oil is made from pure, natural Baltic amber by heating the amber in a closed container. (The container must be free of oxygen so that the amber does not burn.) The process is called dry distillation. When heated above 200 °C (392 °F), amber breaks down into an oil of amber and  a black residue which is known as "amber colophony", or "amber pitch" used for waxes and varnishes.

Europeans long ago learned that amber oil rubbed into the skin did many fabulous things. One of which was to regenerate the skin. It is one of the earliest known anti aging treatments.

Amber oil from Natural Baltic Amber is believed to have strong therapeutic properties.

Dr. Veniamin Khazanov of the RAS' Institute of Pharmacology at the Tomsk Scientific Center says "For aged people, succinic acid has proved to be indispensable. It is capable of restoring the energy balance at the cellular level, which is often upset as the years go by, and helps the patient regain his youthful energy." He says also that it has proven the equal or better of many commercial drugs and is significantly less expensive.

You can see clinical test information at Clinical studies on succinic acid (succinates) antioxidant effects.

Being amber in a liquid state, it easily moisturizes human skin, getting deeply into the tissue and supplying it with negative ions. It rebuilds damaged electrostatic lines and fields, fluffs battered tissue and restores patency of in blood vessels thereby improving blood flow.

It can be used as a quick treatment of a bruise, bunt skin or muscular contraction and pain.

It is used to remove dandruff by moisturizing the scalp and strengthening the hair follicles.

When smeared with amber oil immediately after a blow, one reduces the occurrence of subdermic blood clots - bruises.

Amber oil is a natural disinfectant and antiseptic agent. It neutralizes bites of gnats and other insects.

2-3 drops added to a bath make the skin more elastic and reduces the harmful effects of the sun's rays.
