Most people walking the beach would not recognize this as Amber. It was probably formed at the base of the tree. It almost looks like sandstone.
Collectors hunting insects and animal life break stones like this up to see what is inside.
It weighs 54 grams and measures about 9.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm
It can contain organic inclusions or some very nice clear Amber. One never knows. In any case it makes a fine collectors piece and conversation piece.
If you have a collection of Amber stones, one like this is an important addition and it shows one of the extreme ranges of what Amber looks like.
